From the 14 to 22 May 2022, the School Summer Games will take place. For this 19th edition, Normandy and Deauville have been chosen for their international renown. Organised by the ISF (International School Sport Federation) and the UNSS (National Union of School Sports) these Gymnasiades will welcome more than 68 delegations, along with around 3,200 young athletes and 500 people to accompany them. 17 sporting disciplines will be represented as well as 3 parasports during the 8 days.
The Deauville International Centre is at the heart of this organisation. Several areas of the congress centre will be devoted to this event: The Michel D’Ornano auditorium will host the opening ceremony, halls 3 and 4 will be dedicated to entertainment and relaxation but also educational and teaching areas. The halls will also be used for catering : around 500 lunches and 4500 dinners will be served each day. A rotating seating capacity of 2500 will be available to serve 5000 daily meals.
The congress centre will also host international conferences for the participants in the Lexington auditorium.
The CID is a venue that is able to host a multitude of activities ( logistic organisation, catering, conferences and entertainment…) and will be the base camp for these School Summer Games.
