The School Summer Games will take place in Normandy

The School Summer Games, the Gymnasiades, will take place in Normandy the from the 14 to 22 May 2022. Organised by the ISF, The International School Sport Federation and the UNSS, The National Union of School Sports, it will welcome over 60 delegations, represented by approximately 3200 youngsters along with 500 people to accompany them. There will be 17 different sports and 3 parasports over the 8 days which will be open to the public.

Deauville is at the heart of this organisation since it will host several disciplines but also the opening ceremony, the closing ceremony and the main village.

The opening ceremony will take place on Sunday 15 May from 2pm. It will be hosted by a procession of young people in the streets of Deauville (from the Pom’s Centre to the Deauville International Centre). The public will be able to enjoy dancing, circus and musical demonstrations.

The main village, situated in the car park (Lais de Mer) will be open to the public every day from 5-9pm except the Wednesday and the Saturday where it will be open from 2-8pm. There will be sporting and cultural entertainment with partners from the UNSS and the ISF.

The Deauville International Centre will welcome the young athletes during the period (ceremonies, catering…).
