SPORT NIGHT is making a big comeback on 6 June

Sports Night – Join us on 6 June at 6.30 pm at the Deauville International Centre!

The high­light of the Deau­ville Sport Images Fest­iv­al, the “Night of Sport” will open the event on 6 June with a grand even­ing ded­ic­ated to pho­to­graphy and sport­ing cul­tures, cel­eb­rat­ing sport through the eyes of pho­to­graph­ers. The even­ing will fea­ture screen­ings and an awards cere­mony, atten­ded by lead­ing fig­ures from the worlds of sport and photography.

The fest­iv­al will then unfold across sev­er­al unique exhib­i­tions through­out the city, extend­ing this cel­eb­ra­tion of sport through the lens, offer­ing a unique immer­sion in the many cul­tur­al, social, human and artist­ic dimen­sions of sport.

This second edi­tion places a spe­cial focus on women’s sport: sev­er­al exhib­i­tions and screen­ings will be ded­ic­ated to the great ath­letes of yes­ter­day and today, as well as to female pho­to­graph­ers and influ­en­tial fig­ures in sport.

The even­ing will also fea­ture talks by renowned ath­letes, acclaimed pho­to­graph­ers, report­ers and artists, offer­ing the pub­lic a mul­ti­fa­ceted per­spect­ive on sport and its impact on society.

A cel­eb­ra­tion of achieve­ment, the ‘Night of Sport’ will fea­ture the present­a­tion of three awards:
— the best sports pho­to­graph of the year,
— the best para-sports photograph,
— the best sports feature.

Free and open to all, the ‘Night of Sport’ is an invit­a­tion to dis­cov­er sport in a dif­fer­ent light, through the power of imagery.
