  VERDI – Requiem

  Com­posed in memory of his friend, the poet Man­zoni, this Messa da Requiem is one of the most mov­ing and widely appre­ci­ated works in the world. Deeply Romantic yet authen­t­ic in its expres­sion, this Requiem touches the heart of every human being, believ­er or not.
  Neither more the­at­ric­al than reli­gious, this dra­mat­ic and lyr­ic­al work allows, through the warmth of the voices, the rich­ness of instru­ment­al col­ors, and the intim­ate rela­tion­ship between text and music, the full range of human emo­tions to be expressed — from fear to trust, from viol­ence to serenity.

  • Requiem for soloists, choir and orches­tra by Giuseppe Verdi

  Per­formed by the Ensemble Vocal Renais­sance (Le Havre), the Chœur de Rouen Nor­man­die, and the Wir­ral Sym­phony Orches­tra (Liv­er­pool).
  With the par­ti­cip­a­tion of the Ensemble Vocal Impres­sions (Le Havre).
