2026 Deauville American Film Festival: The C.I.D. at the Heart of Exceptional Event Management

The Deau­ville Inter­na­tion­al Centre (C.I.D.) con­tin­ues to estab­lish itself as a premi­er ven­ue for major inter­na­tion­al cul­tur­al and cor­por­ate gath­er­ings. From 4 to 13 Septem­ber 2026, the 52^nd edi­tion of the Deau­ville Amer­ic­an Film Fest­iv­al once again high­lighted the C.I.D.‘s event man­age­ment expert­ise as host and co-organ­iser of this flag­ship cine­ma­to­graph­ic event. The 2026 edi­tion fea­tured a rich lineup of 80 films across 9 cat­egor­ies, includ­ing 13 fea­ture films in offi­cial competition.

1. Cutting-Edge Infrastructure and Technical Event Engineering

Orches­trat­ing an inter­na­tion­al fest­iv­al of this scale requires excep­tion­al logist­ic­al and tech­nic­al cap­ab­il­it­ies. Through­out the ten-day event, the C.I.D. deployed its tech­nic­al infra­struc­ture to man­age up to 17 daily screen­ings across the fest­ival’s ven­ue network:

Immers­ive audio tech­no­logy: 6 films from the 2026 Selec­tion were presen­ted in Dolby Atmos, deliv­er­ing an unmatched acous­tic exper­i­ence in the pro­jec­tion halls:

Pres­sure by Anthony Maras;
Her Private Hell by Nic­olas Wind­ing Refn;
L’Île des souven­irs by Joel Craw­ford and Januel P. Mercado;
Moth­er Mary by Dav­id Lowery;
Club Kid by Jordan Firstman.
Access­ib­il­ity and sus­tain­ab­il­ity: In line with Deau­ville’s “Sus­tain­able Innov­at­ive Des­tin­a­tion” cer­ti­fic­a­tion, the event incor­por­ated eco-respons­ible prac­tices, along­side access­ib­il­ity fea­tures such as sub­titled screen­ings and sup­port for tran­scrip­tion apps.

2. Prestigious Ceremonies and Welcoming Hollywood Legends

As the cent­ral hub for inter­na­tion­al film icons, the C.I.D. hos­ted the fest­ival’s most mem­or­able trib­utes and red-car­pet moments:

Patrick Schwar­zeneg­ger (‘Rising Star Even­ing’): On Fri­day 11 Septem­ber, the C.I.D. hos­ted the even­ing cere­mony present­ing Patrick Schwar­zeneg­ger with the Deau­ville Rising-Star Award. This was fol­lowed by a pre­view screen­ing of the thrill­er Bunker, in which he stars along­side Javi­er Bardem and Penélope Cruz.
Deau­ville Rising-Star Award: Act­ress Soph­ie Thatch­er (Yel­low­jack­ets) was also hon­oured with the Rising-Star Award and presen­ted Her Private Hell by Nic­olas Wind­ing Refn.
Deau­ville Tal­ent Awards: Eth­an Hawke received his award presen­ted by French act­ress Juli­ette Binoche, whilst Brendan Fraser was presen­ted with a cus­tom crys­tal trophy craf­ted by Mais­on Daum. Both act­ors com­mem­or­ated their return by inaug­ur­at­ing their ded­ic­ated beach cab­ins along Deau­ville’s fam­ous Planches boardwalk.
Deau­ville Icon Awards: Screen legend Faye Dunaway was hon­oured on 8 Septem­ber, fol­lowed on 10 Septem­ber by Susan Saran­don, who presen­ted her new film The Accom­pan­ist dir­ec­ted by Zach Woods.

3. Jury Deliberations and Official 2026 Awards

On Sat­urday 12 Septem­ber 2026, the pres­ti­gi­ous Awards Cere­mony took place at the C.I.D. to reveal the fest­iv­al winners:

Grand Prix & Audi­ence Award: The main Jury, chaired by Roschdy Zem, awar­ded the Grand Prix to Club Kid by Jordan First­man, which also claimed the Town of Deau­ville Audi­ence Award.
Jury Prize (Shared): The Jury Prize was jointly awar­ded to Méli-Mélo (Tangles) by Leah Nel­son and If I Go Will They Miss Me by Wal­ter Thompson-Hernández.
Crit­ics’ Award: Also awar­ded to Leah Nel­son’s anim­ated fea­ture Méli-Mélo, mark­ing a double win for the film.
Rev­el­a­tion Award: The Rev­el­a­tion Jury, chaired by Lio, presen­ted its award to Mouse by Kelly O’Sul­li­van and Alex Thompson.
Prix d’Or­nano-Valenti & CANAL+ Award: La Gra­diva by Mar­ine Atlan received the Prix d’Or­nano-Valenti, whilst Test by Sam McCon­nell was awar­ded the CANAL+ Award.
